Hi, my name is Maria and my background is a dancer at world-renowned dance institutions including The Royal Ballet School, Elmhurst Ballet School and The London Studio Centre. As a professional performer, I have appeared in many musicals in London’s West End and have toured with hit shows including Dirty Dancing, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins and White Christmas. Most recently, I appeared in Top Hat which toured the UK and Japan.

 

I discovered the benefits of Pilates of myself as a way to help me prevent injuries, improve posture and alignment and build deeper strength during my demanding dance training. Seeing the benefits first hand, I completed my Stott Pilates mat work training in London before relocating to San Francisco in 2016 and completing my initial training in reformer and mat Pilates at Blue Sparrow Pilates where I also taught. Since returning to London, I have also furthered my knowledge by completing the Polestar Pilates comprehensive training in all equipment and mat.

 

I love sharing my passion for Pilates and movement with everyone from dancers, athletes and people over coming injuries. I have felt first-hand how using the equipment can allow anyone, of any ability, illness or injury, the opportunity to move better and do more for themselves. Learn more about Pilates in Chelsea.

 

When I am not in the studio you will find me dancing, spending time with my friends and trying out new restaurants in London.
