Hi, my name is Tracey and I am a level 3 Personnel trainer. I have always been active and in my early 40's gained my black belt in karate and instructed classes. Prior to working as a PT, I worked in clinical cytogenetics and then as a secondary school science teacher for over 20 years.
I was diagnosed myself with breast cancer in 2017 and therefore I can completely understand your cancer journey as I have walked that path! It seemed a natural progression that I should gain my qualification in Post Rehab Exercise. I will make informed and safe choices when evaluating, teaching and prescribing an appropriate course of exercise for you.
As a Post Rehab breast cancer specialist and my own cancer experience I hope to help you regain sense of wellbeing that may have been lost from diagnosis through surgery into recovery, and confidence both physically and mentally while improving your quality of life.
I volunteer for the County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust, raising funds for a new Chemotherapy unit at University Hospital Durham. As part of this I climbed Machu Picchu in Peru, something pre cancer I would not have dreamt of doing!
